Timberhaze Retreat is set-up for groups of up to 8 people to gather together to relax, socialize, and work on a variety of different crafts.


Groups are coming to Timberhaze Retreat to do:

Beading – Bring your beads and spread-out on a nice, well-lit work table to create your next piece of jewelry. There is a fantastic Bead store 10 minutes away in Taylors Falls. The Taylors Falls Bead Store has wire, tools and unique beads and stones for your special creation, and is located at 364 Bench St. in Taylors falls.


Bedazzling – As the dance competition season approaches, once again it’s time to bedazzle your children’s dance outfits and other items. Why not get a group together and make a fun weekend out of it?


Knitting and Crocheting – Surround yourself in the relaxing setting at Timberhaze Retreat, and let it inspire you to knit or crochet your next creation. Work together with friends and family members, and share ideas. Cottage gifts in Lindstrom has Miss Else’s Yarnery located inside. They carry a wide variety of yarns, needles, hooks, patterns and supplies.


Timberhaze Retreat is self-service rental home designed specifically for crafting groups to use for their own retreat. We are located just a short drive North of the Twin Cities in the Chisago Lakes area on 40 wooded acres just East of Center City, MN and only a ¼ mile off of Highway 8.


Timberhaze Retreat sleeps up to eight people and is built on one level making it easily accessible for everyone in your group. The home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms; one of the bathrooms has a wheelchair accessible shower. There is a large eat-in kitchen equipped with just about every kitchen utensil you might need to prepare meals. There is a large table with eight chairs making it possible for the entire group to gather together around the table. The large kitchen has plenty of counter space for spreading-out snacks, or plugging in crock-pots for meals to share. If you prefer, use the outdoor gas grill for a barbecue. The group may want to forgo cooking altogether and head out on a wine tasting tour. While you are visiting Dancing dragonfly grab a pizza or a Panini sandwich. You can add a tasting tour on to your stay if you would like.
