The men go hunting and fishing, but the girls need to getaway and have fun too!
Timberhaze Retreat is the perfect place for girls to gather together, hang out, and create memories. There are so many ideas on Pinterest from cooking to creating fun wall décor. Why not gather your best friends together and organize a girlfriend getaway?
Timberhaze Retreat is located about 40 minutes North of the Twin Cities, a relatively short drive to reach a rural and secluded and getaway location. The house is set on a beautiful 40-acre property with a walking path for those who like to get outside.
Maybe your idea of a girlfriend getaway is getting some extra sleep! The house sleeps up to 8 people, and each of you will have your own bed with a “my pillow” pillow. Or, maybe you just want to plop on the sectional couch for a while and watch something on the smart TV in the living room.
Timberhaze Retreat has the perfect crafting room to do a variety of projects. Each girlfriend will have a table and chair of their own to spread out all the supplies they need to make their pinterest craft. You can stream Pandora or any other music via Bluetooth to the stereo while you work, or watch your favorite girlfriend movie.
A girlfriend getaway could even be a focused time for working out or spending “me” time doing nails, hair, facials etc. Girlfriends getting together to share faith and friendship can also be revitalizing and energizing.
If cooking is more your Pinterest interest, then you can hang out in the large kitchen and make delicious food for your girlfriends to share.
When you want to just hang out with your girlfriends, you can go outside and build a bon fire in the fire pit and share a bottle of wine purchased that day from one of the many local wineries. We offer an affordable wine tasting self-tour package that you can add-on to your reservation for a per-person fee that will allow you to sample wines at three local wineries.
There are so many things to do nearby if you are looking for an outing. In the winter there is skiing and tubing nearby at Wild Mountain (15 minute drive). There are miles of hiking and cross-country ski trails at nearby state parks. Or, take a walk through the unique Franconia Sculpture Park just down the road. In the summer, you can canoe or kayak down the St Croix River, or take a paddleboat ride down the river. For shoppers, Lindstrom and Center City have several antique and occasional shops and North Branch has an outlet mall that is less than 30 min away if you want to do some shopping.
