Scrapbooking Retreat

Do you like to put together scrapbooks with your friends and family members? Timberhaze Retreat is the perfect place to work on your scrapbooking projects with others. The home is setup to sleep up to 8 people, making it the perfect getaway location for your group. Timberhaze Retreat is set on 40 acres, and is about a 40-minute drive north of the Twin Cities near the St. Croix Valley.

Whether you are creating a traditional scrapbook with your pictures, paper, and embellishments – or an online scrapbook – we have a large, well-lit craft room with eight sturdy tables, each with an ergonomic chair to provide you with a comfortable workspace where you can spread-out your materials and be creative. We provide free Wi-Fi at Timberhaze Retreat, so those who are doing online scrapbooks can bring their laptop along and easily work on their projects alongside those making a more traditional scrapbook.

If you happen to run out of scrapbooking supplies while you are staying at Timberhaze retreat, Wal-Mart in St Croix Falls WI (a beautiful 15 minute drive from Timberhaze Retreat) carries a few supplies. We also have a Creative Memories consultant nearby that has just about everything and anything scrapbooker could ever need, and she will be happy to assist with your needs.

Timberhaze Retreat has 8 single beds each with a “my pillow” pillow. Bed linens are provided; the beds are made-up and ready for your friends or family members when they arrive. Each bed has a bedside table and lamp if you want to read before bed.

There are 2 bathrooms; towels and washcloths are provided. We have a cozy living room where you can hang out on a super comfy sectional to lounge and watch TV, Netflix, or a movie when you need a break from scrapbooking. We have a smart TV so if you have access to Amazon or other TV/Movie options you can easily stream it onto the TV.

The Kitchen is very large and has nearly every cooking utensil you will need to prepare meals – unless you want to call Eichten’s Bistro and have them deliver a meal, or pick up a meal from other restaurants nearby. The table is large enough so that the whole group can gather together for meals or to play a game.

There is an extra refrigerator in the attached heated garage, and a gas grill that you can pull outside to do some grilling. We also have a Ping-Pong table in the garage in case you want to have a fun Ping-Pong tournament.

When you arrive, you can drive into the heated garage and easily unload and transfer your scrapbook supplies directly from your vehicle into the adjacent craft room.

If your group needs to take a break from working on their scrapbook projects, there are many places to go and see and there is a lot to do in the local area. Do you like wine? There are several local wineries in the area where you can taste and purchase locally made wines from locally grown grapes. We also offer an affordable wine tasting self-tour package that you can add to your stay (fee is per-person).

Just down the road there is a unique sculpture park to walk through. In the winter, there are two ski hills nearby for skiing or tubing. There are also many great State parks nearby for cross country skiing, hiking, canoeing, or kayaking. There is plenty to do in the area to fill your time for a getaway at Timberhaze Retreat.
