Do you Zentangle? Organize a group to come to Timberhaze Retreat for a Zentangle getaway! The Zentangle method is easy to learn and easy to do, allowing you to creatively express yourself. Creating Zentangle art at Timberhaze Retreat is a great way to relax and to get a new perspective on yourself – and others!
Timberhaze Retreat is a self-service rental home that sleeps up to eight people, making it the perfect place for a group-getaway. Timberhaze Retreat is nestled on 40 acres surrounded by tamarack and oak trees. The house is built on one level with heated floors and is comfortable year around. The home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large eat-in kitchen stocked with just about every kitchen utensil you will ever need plus a large table with eight chairs so that the entire group can gather together around the table. There is ample counter space with numerous outlets making it possible to plug-in several crock-pots.
You can Zentangle without having to purchase costly equipment. Special skills are not required, nor do you need to be a calligrapher. Moreover, Zentangle is one of those creative activities you can do without a computer. All you need to bring are Zentangle tiles (or a Zentangle book) plus a Zentangle pen.
Take it a step further, and color your Zentangle art! In Lindstrom (only a 5 minute drive) Gustaf’s carries coloring pens or pencils that are available to purchase.
When you are ready to take a break from Zentangling, take a stroll on the walking path at Timberhaze Retreat, or visit one of three nearby State Parks to find longer hiking trails.
We also suggest adding a Wine Tasting Self Tour package to your Zentangle getaway. We offer a package that provides you with an opportunity to sample wines at three local wineries during your stay at Timberhaze Retreat. Our per-person package provides a discount for tastings at Winehaven, Dancing Dragonfly, and St. Croix Chateau wineries, all within a 15 to 20 minute drive from Timberhaze Retreat. Pick out your favorite locally produced wines and take them back to Timberhaze Retreat to sip and Zentangle.
